Went to longleat wednesday

Took around 530 photos as i went round the safari and other bits and pieces (photography banned in the house).

Safari was good, driving and shooting wasnt too difficult, the issue was shooting through glass. Windows up in the tigers, lions and wolves, booooring.

Anyway, heres a few shots:

And you were concerned about your photos? I cant really say I like "any" of those, as I like them all. Good sharpness, contrast and colour. The Giraffe, butterfly and first lion I guess are particularly good!

Getting used to the new flickr "share" tool too I see :D

Nice - first lion and final shot of the wolf look great.

Tbh first lion would be a good one to enter in the Dorset show next year, though the judges anti-bias towards "exotic" shots might mean they dont rank it as highly as they should...even though it was taken in Dorset!

I ditched the 1.4x teleconverter for the sigma lens for this day, seems to have improved the shots IMO

:ptu: Longleat is awesome, unless you really need a leak halfway round the thing and you get stuck behind 2 buses and a muppet in a volvo.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

More than likely, for someone who specialises in geographic information systems, my geographical knowledge of the country is shocking ;)

I love the last shot of the wolf.

I think some of them need to be cropped to take out of distractions in the images (like the fences in the giraffe pic) but I like them :)
