What a resume.Woman are crap at some things but where strength is not woman are better than us, read this. about Svetlana Kapanina my favorite pilot.

6x Wac champion 3x 2nd and twice 3rd

Svetlana Kapanina was born on the 28th of December, 1968, in Schuchinsk, Republic of Kazakhstan, USSR. In 1987 she graduated from the medical school, specialty – pharmacist. Started to fly in 1988 in Kurgan Russia. Became the member of the Russian Aerobatic Joint Crew in 1991. In 1995 she graduated from Kaluga Pilot’s School. Place of domicile – Moscow. Married, has got two children. She is an aerobatic instructor Factory Sukhoi design bureau   and display pilot.

•Soviet Union Champion(1991);

•United States Champion(1995);

•The one and only pilot awarded six times the title of Overall World Aerobatics Champion (1996, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007);

•Silver medals at the World Championship (1995, 2003, 2005);

•Bronze medals at the World Championship (1995, 2000);

•Overall World Air Games Champion (1997, 2001);

•Overall European Aerobatics Champion (1997,2006);

•Overall Russian National Aerobatics Champion (1991, 2001);

•Awarded with 38 Gold medals in World Aerobatics Championships;

•FAI World Grand Prix Champion (2007);

•FAI World Grand Prix Silver medals (2007);

•Al Ain international aerobatics Champion (2007);

•FAI World JK Aerobatics Formula Silver medals (2008);

FAI MAMAIA WEAF 2009 2nd  

•Awarded with FAI medal as the best pilot of the century;

•Awarded with FAI Sabihi Gokchen medal as the only fivefold World Cup winner;

, also last Saturday Vicki Cruse hit the ground and died straight away, Id love to be there. Svetlana Kapanina is now 40 and has 2 kids, shes flying today i tip her 3rd the frogs are good theyll win and win the team event.

Why am I not surprised.

Due to low cloud and wind we have a delay in flying the finals of the Technical Championships will resume shortly

The contest directors and judges have decided to take an early lunch so that we can resume when the good weather arrives. Its just around the corner! We should be flying at 13:00 BST. Check out our air sports channels on the home page


I can see it getting postponed.

Pure bad taste to be honest. Ive been at an airshow when a pilot crashed and was killed and its not something Id particularly want to repeat.

Pure bad taste to be honest. Ive been at an airshow when a pilot crashed and was killed and its not something Id particularly want to repeat.

when Jim Leroy - Bulldog Aerobatics crashed his Bulldog pits I didnt jump with joy, but He was flying with Skip Stewart I wish I was there to meet them.
