I was talking about the human cost too, it should never have got as bad as it is.

Just watched a programme on TV last night about the hospital workers and ambulance personnel. If you get injured and they have to give you a transfusion they take your ID card, then someone has to go and give blood to get it back for you. They just dont have anywhere near enough medical supplies to keep them going.

We know, but it should never have been allowed to happen, Bush/Rumpsfelt made a total mess of it.

Dont try to wash your hands of it. It was a disaster waiting to happen, and there was no good way to illegally invade the nation and "liberate it". No reputable political scientist saw any possible way for this invasion to work, so stop your bullsh*tting. The crux of the problem lays with people like YOU whom supported the leadership in both of our countries that decided to illegally invade and be the catalyst for mass murder.

Too much blood on you, Serious, it wont wash off.

No blood on me maxi, they said one thing and did something entirely different. If they had waited a bit and had the troops needed there then the result would have been different. I supported the idea of invading, not the invasion as it happened.

As for Bush and Blair they would still have sent the troops in no matter what the response from the public was. In the UK well over 50% of the people were against the plan of going in when they did with insufficient personnel to complete the job.

Rumpsfelts plan was doomed to failure from day one, they just didnt have the numbers of front line troops needed and were not prepared to put them in when it would have made the difference. That doesnt mean that the alternative plan wouldnt have worked, just that they got it terribly wrong.

The invasion was and still is legal.

I advocate invading to remove any dictator. If the population then went to run ramptant afterwards that is their own issue.

He was only a dictator to 2/3 at least of the country, his own people loved him... it is predominantly those people reacting violently. Plus the extra people who just dont want the troops around.

You cant win in a situation like that. You have at least 3 main sides all wanting something different. Noone is going to be happy.
