3 aspirin, as youre a clyde and can handle it, and two pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (Sudafed) tabs, some water, and the caress of some loving Swede-whores, tbqpfh.

Im the only one in the office, and im the only one who is willing to work weekends, even to call in sick I would be expected to be up and working at 9am only with the phones diverted through to my mobile and working from home. Oh and I dont get paid for that.

I would have told them to bog off and went elsewhere if thats the case.

Not a cure but I find strong mature cheddar an instant nose clearer.

Lemsip, plenty of water, early sleep.

I reckon you should call in sick & turn your mobile off and go to bed then

If youre the only one willing to work weekends then youre pretty valuable to the company - they wont sack you over a sick day (well Id hope they wont).

sounds like they take advantage of you a bit at work - tis good to put the effort in but not to the point where they are thinking oh metalhead wont mind working this weekend or metalhead is a bit ill but Im sure he wont mind taking phonecalls at home

- oh yeah - get some lemsip + drink lots of fluids + maybe have a few hot orange squash drinks with honey added.

Does sound like you get raped at work tbh - need to manage your own career - there are always other jobs out there.
"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some f**king regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some f**king Jane f**king Austen novel!"

Yup this place sucks for work. I dont have a formal contract either.

But then theres nowhere else that pays me £7 an hour to talk idiots through how to save a word file (this guy is studying an MCSE and he got scared when he saw a progress bar on his screen ffs!) or install office, and is going to be say 5 miles from my new house im moving into tomorrow, easily rideable by bike.

fair enough - Im not suggesting that you stop working there  - just dont let them push you around too much - i.e. phone your boss up - tell him youre ill and going to bed then switch off your mobile

one of the most improtant things to do is to get some rest - if you dont then the flu will last longer.
