Im the only one in the office, and im the only one who is willing to work weekends, even to call in sick I would be expected to be up and working at 9am only with the phones diverted through to my mobile and working from home. Oh and I dont get paid for that.

I reckon you should call in sick & turn your mobile off and go to bed then

If youre the only one willing to work weekends then youre pretty valuable to the company - they wont sack you over a sick day (well Id hope they wont).

sounds like they take advantage of you a bit at work - tis good to put the effort in but not to the point where they are thinking oh metalhead wont mind working this weekend or metalhead is a bit ill but Im sure he wont mind taking phonecalls at home

Yup this place sucks for work. I dont have a formal contract either.

But then theres nowhere else that pays me £7 an hour to talk idiots through how to save a word file (this guy is studying an MCSE and he got scared when he saw a progress bar on his screen ffs!) or install office, and is going to be say 5 miles from my new house im moving into tomorrow, easily rideable by bike.
