Built 1945, retired to 9MU in 1957, was then moved to RAF West Mailing as a gate guard, and was then donated to the USAF in 1958. She was a museum piece at Wright-Patterson from 1961-1995 then popped up on the US civilian register in 1996 as N75460. First shipped to NZ in 1997 as a restoration project and has changed hands once since apparently due to lack of funds.

Could be a nice pet project for someone with some spare time at weekends and some space in the garden.  8-)

I just had a warped vision of 10 rich guys with 10 spitfires fly to Germany and with big fing mics  on them fy over Berlin saying " neeeeeooooooww qqqqqcqcqcqccqcqcqccqcq"

Yep, because flying to Berlin with big fing mics and saying "neeeeeooooooww qqqqqcqcqcqccqcqcqccqcq" is so hilarious. :roll:

Actually it is a bit amusing. OTOH dropping a load of rotten eggs on the EU buildings from Lancaster bombers might cause even more of a stir in Europe...
