I was wondering how long untill someone could not resist to point it out.

I think the old Tekheads forum was buzzing.  Probably just the shock of change for the regular users.

Not the forum, it is always quite at this time of year and we all already know it was not what it once was, I was pointing out that the tekheads support has done what most thought it would, not get a lot of posts and people joining getting their issue solved or question answered and then not coming back just as we all do for support forums.

No no, not our old "tekheads" forums, I was reffering to the forums that OC:UK or whoever were hosting for tekheads before merging back with us again.  They were buzzing.  I was not expeting it to be used this quietly at all.

Ahh
Well tbh I am all up for tekheads being part of the forum, its cool but the top stuff is dead and new members would see that first and see it empty, new people joining currently getting help and then going as you expect them to

I think though cypher you hit a good key there, if another forum of folk who we half know or something shut down theirs and joined here that would be cool :)

N00b

 :disappointed:

twas OCS forums   - OCKU was the enemy and many came accross to OCS when spie or one of the dons banned them for not sucking spies cock

I remember having an idea for a tek t-shirt once with the slogan "FCUK OCUK - Tekheads! Performance Hardware"

sam ran OCS then split & formed tekheads

OCS remained as did its forums

some users moved to tekforums - others stayed with OCS - others posted at both

OCS went broke - OCS forums vanished with it

some of the old OCS peeps came here - others disapeared

bonus points to anyone who remembers the forums/company name prior to OCS.... - I doubt there are many people on here now who used to post there (begins with a P btw..)

Dave is fully functional on this and all his circuits are working perfectly.

It was quite a thing when the likes of Bacon jumped ship to here, although his user name was different then.

I expected that it wwould take some time to speed up on here. New people are posting here occasionally and that should increase over time.

i think Cypher was thinking of OC3D as that is where we have had our forums since leaving here 3 years ago.

OC3D has alot of members whuch helps with keeping a forum buzzing we seem to be getting a few signups a day at the moment on here so things are looking up.

can we now close this thread?

IMHO, leave it as it is. We are getting new signups from the link (which is the most important thing in my eyes) and i honestly couldnt care less about hitting my scroll wheel one more time to get to the forums i want to post in. Anyone whos bitching about the Tekheads forums being at the top needs to either chill out, or take a step back and look at how petty youre being over a forum that doesnt belong to you.

Actually not a bad thing IMO.  As said, it IS adding some new signups, and some of them are sticking around.  This is a Good Thing.  Recently this forum has been something of a closed shop, and seeing new members makes me all warm and fuzzy inside  :whoops:

Guys we havnt even done a mailshot to Tekheads users yet - something Kris is imminently planning on doing - so its no surprise theres been no sudden splurge of new members. Give it a month or so and then well guage things.

Before OCS it was Power Computing.  -)
