after a bit of discussion at work weve managed to get the contract im working on to be a case of files not on the server drives are not covered.  That includes the ones stored in roaming profiles.  If the profile corrupts and we can;t get the files straight from the old profile folder they are screwed.  :D

its only fair, weve spent the last few weeks working out what files we can wipe.  This weekend and evenings next week ill be doing the clearing.  Once that is complete the users have NO excuse for not using their personal server drives.  Except the sales & marketing departments, though if im sneaky i might "accidentally" put a quota on their folders.  I found one the other day that was 18Gb in size, and most of it duplicated in other folders.  we must teach them the value of shortcuts.

Its not part of job. It just people who are poor at their job.
No room for incompetence where I work.. Otherwise large parts of the country would grind to a halt
