Ive been mulling for ages over whether to get Sky+ or not, now that its subs-free. So, being technically minded I head off to ebay and get all the bits I need (just waiting to win a Sky+ box now). Thinking that Sky+ was still being farmed out by Sky for about £199 plus £60 installation, I feel confident that its money well saved.


Well this morning sods law intervened, Sky just sent me a letter through the post offering Sky+ for £99 all in. Bah


To make things worse I forgot that I would need a ladder to modify the dish - once again I forgot Im not twelve feel tall!

The reduced price is on offer until the 21st September so I have until then to decide, also Im about to be outbid for a Pace 3100 box at £60 (which is really all Im prepared to pay for a second hand box, new ones are £135).

Still theres something to be said for doing it yourself
