Hmm - after years of trying to give up and having major panic attacks about the fact that I really couldnt ever see myself quitting, I seem to have practically stopped smoking without realising it... Me and the missus decided we needed to cut back so shelved my morning fag and stopped smoking at work, then just had one after tea in the evenings. That kind of dropped off to none at all and I just realised in the last 5 weeks weve been to the pub 3 times and havent even thought about popping out for a fag - it just hasnt occurred. Ive still been having the odd one when playing guitar with an old friend but Im talking about 2/3 a week (down from 10 a day) and TBH thats only when I see him if I dont I never think about it. Despite having the odd one I really feel like Ive beaten it. Still get the urge after a few glasses of red but difference now is I dont have to act on it. Its nice - I feel better, Im not constantly worried about it killing me and Im saving a fortune!!  8-)
