I almost vomited when reading computing magazine this morning.

Anyone else see the article about iphones being favourable for the business market? lol

So if they are/will be and a lot of business use them now/future more and more over other products you will just vomit over standing corrected?

No, because ultimately its 1 columnist who clearly has a blinkered view on what businesses need, like yourself. :)

Personally Ive no problem recognising that BES appears to be the best when it comes to businesses. iphone however, hell no.

ROFL.

hmm, iPhone doesnt have half the features i would want if i was doing a business deployment.  The security isnt enough, and at that point there is no reason to go any further.

Here is my experience of moving from my old blackberry to my new one - I have a lot of settings etc on it

put sim in
put in email address and password in enterprise activation
In 15 minutes, I had all my emails, and all my settings - including - themes, contacts, alarms, text size, personal dictionary, autocomplete custom dictionary, ring tones, call history, text messages, web site history, saved passwords, the order of applications on my applications screen identically replicated on the new device. I didnt have to do anything but put in the email address and enterprise activation password.

Awesome.

All down to how many emails you get and what you need to do with them and the type of emails you get though. Thunderbird is great in the office for example due to the addons as well as the standard mail app features like filtering and folder control.

Mark: That is good,

Question to you and the other blackberry users - have you seen the new models soon to be released through the leaks etc on the net? Are you a bit worried about this since they are going touchscreen as well and changing the design by quite a lot since many say they are better then the iphone in part because of the real buttons?

vodafone here in NZ had Massive interest but take the fact that Auckland Launch had only 150 people queueing at launch and the first guy in was only queuing for 45 hours and was not the original first and there was over 300 to start with (they all walked away) when they announced the price plan which was MASSIVELY expensive and the phones well over priced and data plans very poor they have been slated by virtually everyone here. Most expensive in the world.

In the week we had a great show Campbell Live where the guy full on laid into the guy from vodafone that could only fall back on the same crap despite the fact he was being owned.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=291gK1ikf1w

Basically Vodafone here have been found wanting because they have to subsidise the cost, paid a lot to get the phone from Apple and basically admiting they can not handle the traffic and making in a premium to keep the traffic down while still getting back the money they have spent securing the phone while not selling a lot

Well, It looks good, but its still sh*t for email - because - mail for exchange on nokia is a pile of sh*te (As much as it pains me to say that)

The keyboard does look good - but - imo - THE keyboard to beat is the old 8700. No BB has ever had such a good keyboard.

My main gripe about email for exchange is the GLARING omission of a usable search function.

WHEN are manufacturers going to realise that BB is so good - because the search is so fantastic (And the fact that everything you need can be accessed from a one click context menu, you dont have to fiddle through a pile of side menus)
