Dont know if anybody will remember me but I was known as danielbruckshaw on big/tekforums over the last 3 years - ish. I probably irritated the life out of some people! *cowers*

I now have a broadband connection at home, so will be around as I once was

While I had the chance to use the internet at work, once in a blue moon, I checked to see what was happening with tekforums etc. Can anyone explain to me very briefly what happened to the forum itself (I had to re-register yet dont know what was the cause of this)??

 In short:
* forums on a server which was a bit of a bodge, port 81
* forums get hacked by a nasty person
* update attempted to get rid of nasty hack, but update kills database
* due to forums bodgily being on a server, no backups available
* all hell breaks loose
* new forum, new server, port 80

BTW I remember your name, cant remember what your av was though..

The last time I was on the forum was when Sam/Tekheads made some changes, and the forum url seemed to have changed a few times slightly.
