RapidShare getting stupid now?

Bloody cats!

Rapid Shares human input images are just stupid now and some are impossible to work out.

Pick the 4 letters out with cats on them. What if youre a bit short sighted? Youll be screwed pretty much.

I hate those things. The normal ones with the wonky letters are bad enough; it took 3 of us 10minutes to get past one the other day.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

It is ludicrously hard to read some of them, but rapidshare seem to be doing lots of happy hours lately so its a good compromise I guess.

I can read that fine, lol ROTC840
It costs me like £24 for a year premier and I use it a lot and think it is well worth the money tbh.

Its not reading the letters, its identifying which have cats on, you should end up with no more than four of them ;)

Some have dogs instead, and you want to weed those out.

lol until you said that I thought they were ALL cats!!

I heard about a good project with these where they were using them to digitise old books and the like which are too damaged or faded to be read by OCR.

Aye, I heard about that too. I think the guy that created the security feature is also responsible for several projects that are basically ways of utilising masses of people on the net to do menial tasks by making them fun. All I can remember was that one project involved tagging images etc and it was some kind of 2-player game. The idea was to tag things the same as the other player etc. However what this meant was that overtime the tags began to get built up for the images producing a reliable searchable database for the images etc. Clever stuff :D
