Talents

Do you think people are born with a talent? or do you think people are born with no talent and they simply work hard and practice?

Im not sure what I think, Id like to think everyone was born with a talent, but theres millions of people that just dont show it. Like the unemployed, who are perfectly well to work but just are lazy and going to the job center each week is NOT a talent!

Of course not everyone has a talent or talents, how would Darwinism work otherwise? Even with extensive study and practice not everyone can achieve the same level of skill in plenty of things.

There are a good few people who are talented, but it would be better to put advantaged in a specific area. Others are either average or pretty much useless.

I find writing pretty easy and arts like painting, but Im useless at music and have problems with remembering lines, so I would be useless in a play.

Its often a combination between genetics and effort though. Genetics can give an advantage but for a lot of people it takes effort to turn it into mastery.
