Few Questions for you.

Rules
The result will overwrite the contents of that box (specified in the command)
the other boxes will remain unaffected.
eg

1     2    3
-------------
¦ 1 ¦ 1 ¦ 0 ¦
-------------

1 + 2 -> 3 (means box 1 plus box 2 put the answer in box 3) would give this :-

1 2 3
----------------
¦ 1 ¦ 1 ¦ 2 ¦

if you use / or - the first box you use must then have the result enterd

Example :- 1 - 2 -> 1 (the anser MUST go into the first box in the line in this case 1)

Looks like a pretty standard logical thinking test for an IT company interview to me.

Had to do something vaguely similar for my current job.

The idea being that if you can think in a logical fashion, it doesnt really matter if you understand a particular set of systems, as you can be taught that.

"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some f**king regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some f**king Jane f**king Austen novel!"

ive done logical thinking tests before, i usually do quite well at them.  This however i was looking at and going WTH?

Plus the job was service and support for a County Council servicing schools on Hardware and Software.  Me and two of my mates where at this one, but going for different jobs.  None of us got through, they where applying for a networks job and the other a DBA job.  The 1st lad is CCNP qualified with 7 years of rollouts and service, the DBA also has ~6 years experience and he holds his Microsoft Tickets.  Basically they where ideally qualified, and one of them is willing to take a pay drop for a better working atmosphere and so he can move back up here from London.  Neither of them even got a look in, and we all figured the CCNP guy would get a verbal interiew regardless.

We did however notice the 6 guys who where kept back for the verbal interviews where all wearing Councy Council ID badges, though it appeared only one of them had even started to shave.

Poorly explained load of twaddle, and those logic tests dont make up for an ounce of common sense.

Its a weird test to use for a Support role, Ill give you that. The wording of the explaination isnt brilliant either, the examples explain a lot more than the written words do.
