Voters want Kennedy back - poll

Voters want Charles Kennedy back as Liberal Democrat leader, a poll for BBC Twos Newsnight suggests.

Mr Kennedy was forced out last year after admitting a drink problem.

But 49% of those questioned thought he would be a better leader than Sir Menzies Campbell - who polled 22% in the ICM survey of 1,005 people.

I predicted this before they threw Kennedy out, I said there was no-one else with anywhere near his charisma  :mutley:

Can it be that nice leaders need to drink to be able to make hard choices, problems which are no match for a psychotic one ?

Being dumb protects a politician from hard choices, as does being glacially slow. Alcohol provides this in an easily consumable bottled form...
