If I was you Id invest some money in a decent trolley jack that will last, as that is a much more useful device (and I wish I had one).

personally always torque my wheel nuts up with a torque wrench, 110nm involves me hanging off the wrench with my 8.5 stone and just about doing it (ok its not really that bad but it feels like it on nut number 20)

iv seen what happens when wheels fall off so always do it

if you go to halfords for around a fiver you can get sockets with a nylon outer so you dont damage the seats and inserts on your spangly wheels.

halfords torque wrenches are the business. I broke one (proper swinging on it) and they swapped it out without a receipt 3 years after I bought it.

in fact most of the halfords tools are actually sykes pickavant rebadged which makes them good tools that will last.

8.5 stones would give about 161 Nm with a one foot long handle on yer wrench :)
