Better style approach and centred and the top is all right but their web team cant do content layout very well still im my opinion

yep I agree with nexus - though I use the news site every dau the BBC site in general just looks so badly laid out

And the new one while a nice style has the same problem and while the news site is alright the problem with the bbc site as a whole is that it is not uniform, every page you go to things jump around in different places etc which was and is very oldschool nono format design for a site, its one of the Do not do things we got taught at uni along with flashing dancing sparkles backgrounds

Thing on that - in what way was that ever a cool thing to do for your site? Always hated them

That brown is disgusting, it spoils the whole look of the site.

Not sure on the colour choice but I like the top, its nice and simple.

The rest of the page is just too much information and clicky stuff IMO, for majoirty of us its simple to navigate due to the amount of time we have spent using webpages but for someone like my mum or dad that much interactive content (and not neatly laid out content) is just a disaster waiting to happen

Also they finally see that only noobs still have 800 by 600 or less

I do not think it is quite there or finished though, some of the fonts and links etc seem default (no style applied)
