Big day tommorrow I guess!
on: March 17, 2010, 22:32:54 PM
Got my final MS exam from all the training that work signed off. Passed the first two so if I pass tommorrow I get the MCITP:SA certification and a whole load of glory at work :) Really really want it - its been a major part of the last 3 months what with the training courses and being away from home so much, so definitely want to make it all feel worthwhile.

A bit nervous gong into this last one - its a lot longer and apparently quite a lot harder than the others and has labs and all sorts. Ive prepared as much as I can but I still dont feel as confident as I did with the last two. Just going to finish one last practise test from the CD then call it a night. Might get a sneaky few mins in the morning but got to take the good ladies car in for MOT first thing!

Well better get this last bit done and get some zzzzs - wish me luck!! :)

Sodding pro metric labs didnt work again. Got to reschedule - no slots for over a month.

Not going to have a huge rant - I simply dont have the words to express how pissed off I am.

This has got to stop though - 1 year on with no improvement is just totally unacceptable when its costing people time and money.

lots of exams are done through prometric..

anyway, next step you should try & get some ITIL Training.

Were working with ITIL processes now actually as my manager has done it all. I will follow it all through but want to get my tech stuff done first

Having to wait a whole month sucks, my local one always has loads of free slots.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Its not to do with their slots - theyre actually quite quiet and I could book a 70-xxx exam in a matter of a few days. Its because its an 83-xxx with the virtual labs and they have to book slots on the servers at Prometric or MS or wherever they are. I checked out a few other test centres but it was no better.

Nope - starting to phase the 70-xxx out and replace with 83-xxx same exam but with labs. Foir example you cant book the 70-640 in English anymore - you have to book the 83-640...

used them for all my cisco exams, including the CCIE written and most recently CCDA and had quite a few cases of labs not working.

No other choice here though really.
