Councils/Housing

An old lady phoned the other day, she wants to swap her 3 bedroom for mine, shes on holiday now, shell ring when she gets back, to make an appointment to view this place.
I think the council will block it and a few friends said, theres no houses left, they will put a family in there, of the list, My argument will be

A. My kids can stay Id get joint custody.

B. My carer helps me get dressed, if my kids were there Id not need care as much, saving the council a fortune.

C. How can they stop an old lady for downsizing, because she cant manage the big house anymore.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

actually..... as long as you both want to swap (need to see her place first, it could be a dump!)... then it should be ok ?

I know the council will help people swap if they want to move to different areas :o

tho you will probably need to make a bit deal of needing the sapce for your kids... say they stay with you most of the time and might be moving in permenantly ;)

Council would only let a single parent have a 3 bedroom house if the children are not the same sex
