Looks very staged. Possibly for TV, advert or film

There would be screams, lots of screams, if it were real?

But all the "FAKE!" aside, its still pretty cool.

Cracks me up on youtube when someone proclaims "Its a fake!" when the video is of something like an alien or someone floating in the air ><

If you look underneath the SUV as it gets hit you can see the launcher arm that sends it spinning. I am guessing the ball didnt weigh much for the sake of safety so they used a launcher.

Probably part of a film car chase etc.

One of these days Ill be watching a film and finally see one of the things that I saw 6 months earlier on the net :D I wonder what film or show it was from...

Damn twitter, I hate it, and hate even more I found my answer there:

WEBTVHUB.COM - Oh noes, run for your lives, there’s a dirty great wrecking ball out of control in New York! There’s actually not, no matter what some video descriptions will have you believe. Instead, this clip shows a scene being shot for The Other Guys, a new comedy cop movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. When I first saw this video I was gobsmacked. It looked as though a passing car had indeed…

I fail to believe you could be spun that perfectly on to the front of a truck without any real visible damage without the truck losing significant enough speed for the driver not to notice and then...

So many things that dont add up.

In the original post, the thing that makes it fake is that if a ball that size weighing a ton or two hit a van like that the van would deform massively, rather than ping over like a cricket ball without any obvious change in shape.

The footage, which was posted on YouTube, shows the truck travelling along the A1(M) near Wetherby with the Clio trapped under its front bumper.

The scene was filmed on a mobile phone by another motorist. At one point someone shouts: "He hasnt seen it."

The owners of the lorry, Cheshire-based Arclid Transport, and West Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident.

A spokesman from the company said: "There was an incident between a car and one of our vehicles in January.

"Since seeing the footage from YouTube we are investigating."

He added that he believed the female driver of the Clio had not been injured in the incident.

The company said the lorry driver was sent home on Wednesday, when the video emerged on the internet.

He added that the accident happened on 13 January and police had investigated, but to date no charges have been brought to the driver.
