Olympic tickets

Anyone applied - have gone for two beach volleyball events (across couple of price categories), one of the boxing finals (again across price categories) and one athletics event (inc mens 1500m final - I used to run 1500m at school so thought that out of all the athletics events I'd most like to watch that one).

I had a look and decided that if i didn't want to gamble with the cheap seats the events I wanted to see (including boxing) were overpriced. I was slightly annoyed that there was no seating plans or indication of where each price band would leave you sitting.

After seeing Greenwich for the Marathon and depending on how much carnage there is this coming weekend with the wedding I think I might get out of London all together for the Olympics.

Have taken a punt on about a grand's worth of athletics, swimming, cycling, gymnastics + a few other random events tickets... now hoping it doesn't all come off as it'll cost me a sodding fortune. Reasonably confident I won't be that lucky/unlucky though.  :yarr:

early rounds Epee fencing here, reckon there's a passable chance of actually getting what I asked for there, plus there's an outside chance I might know a couple of people in the UK team depending on how they pick the squad.

Am not impressed with their inability to simply allocate the tickets now they've got the orders in.
