looks like these are right down in price now, so they're not just high end server stuff anymore...

tempted to get one...doubt I'll see any improvement in pc speed... just have that upgrade itch

A mate at work has M.2 SSDs and while they are faster he is pretty sure you wouldn't see any discernable difference if you already have fast SSDs.
