Mini emergency - Windows install drives
on: November 27, 2006, 17:02:12 PM
My windows for some reason today after a download has got buggered, its not a virus its just this windows defender I was giving a try has basically killed windows installer and explorer.exe and just wont let me do much of anything now.

So re-install not a problem BUT I have 3 partitions 1 windows c 2 d drive for programs and e drive for video and movies and images etc
Problem is I go into the boot via disk and get to the install bit but its renaming the E drive with all my videos as the C so if I delete the c partition which for some reason its saying d it will install not on the c drive basically messing things around.

Does anyone know what I can do about this and not having to spend 4 hours or something silly backing up the e drive?

I was to late I guess, I would have disabled HDD 2 and 3 in BIOS during the install.
