New Oasis Album

Who has got it then?

I got my digital download today, should get my limited edition CD and Vinyl box set version in a few days.

Only listened to it a couple of times.  So far, not overly impressed, there appears to be no stand out tracks, just one big album of 5 or 6 or 7 out of 10 filler tracks.

Maybe itll grow on me?

Maybe every Oasis album ever has been filler with 1/2 standout tracks?

*stokes fire*

Definitely Maybe mostly consisted of standout tracks....  WTSMG, a few less, Be Here Now, a few less, the trend continues......

Im listening to this now actually.

Its all very bland sounding to me, the only stand out track is Shock of the Lightning.

Bland is EXACTLY the right word.

Stand out, not saying much about the rest of the album is it! This has to be their worst yet :(  Overall, its even worse than Standing On The Shoulder of Giants, which admittedly had 2~3 of the worst Oasis songs ever, but at least it had a couple of great songs too.

Have to say, as someone whos been able to see the positives in every Oasis album to date, this is utter bilge.

The new fuller sound developed through the line-up changes has degenerated for my money into a tepid sludge.

:(

Time for Noel to head out on his own and Liam to start fronting some sort of indie-rock supergroup I reckon.

Just got it last night. I kinda like it - its different which is cool. I can see what you mean by it doesnt have the usual big Oasis tracks but then its a much calmer album. Theres a couple of dodgy tracks towards the end but overall I enjoyed it.
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!
