strange internet problem.
on: February 28, 2007, 09:18:58 AM
this is wierd. im wondering mostly if anyone else gets it.

i run pandora through FF most nights. pandora streams music that they think youll like based on stuff youve told them you like. i expect most of you will have seen it.

I also use Thunderbird for connectivity to my email.

every time i change message in thunderbird, pandora stops playing, then when thunderbird has displayed the message pandora starts playing again.

its almost as if TB wants to hog all bandwidth to drag the message down, even though it should have downloaded the message when it first connected to the net. these are not new messages, just ones which i havent viewed yet.

any thoughts fellas?

Matt

are you using IMAP or POP for your email?

IMAP doesnt actually download the email until you open it, its like a half way house between pop and web based e-mail.
