Phone to get in 09
on: January 09, 2009, 23:00:57 PM
I am looking to get a good touch screen phone in the first half of the year.
First that screams out is the iphone 3g and I will ask to get a pay as you go one from the uk to jailbreak as payment for a Uk web job if that happens.
I been looking at CES and like to see what is coming.

The Palm Pre looks very nice..

pharos?

I like the large touch screen concept but I like THIN phones. I will text more then call and I like things like GPS, nice Calender to note dates etc and ability to add new apps or make them and be able to use it for work and I would like wifi built in to use when in wifi.

Any ideas, thoughts, comments, any other phones people are looking out for that take your fancy this year?

Im waiting for the Nokia 5800 (Nokia Tube).  It aparrently has the same type of touch interface as the Blackberry Storm, except its smaller and thinner.  So you get tactile feedback from a touchscreen.  Sounds good to me!

I have heard that the preview phones people have got the touch is not very sensitive or accurate and it comes with a pen?

Weve got one coming in the next few weeks, ill tell you what they are actually like if you want.  Gotta be better than most interfaces, and the preview phones are were exactly that.  Its been released in some countries, but not over here yet.  Well see if Nokia are their usual selves and have released sh*tty firmware for the 1st release, then improve it over time.
