Has anyone else been watching this? Ive not seen A Cock and Bull Story that its loosely based on with Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan, but as a pairing their mostly improvised comedy here is hilarious, each one has brought on tears of laughter at some point during their dining stand-offs.

Any series that can tread that fine line of seamless and polar shifting from awkward and melancholy moments to hilarity is brilliant. Anyone that is a fan of either Brydon or Coogan should check this out on iPlayer.

I thought the first episode was quite enjoyable, but stopped watching after the second. I thought theyd be done with the whole notion of sitting across the table from one another doing impressions after doing it for most of episode one, but episode two just seemed to be more of the same.

But that said I dont really see what others do in Steve Coogan and I can take or leave Rob Byrdon so Im perhaps not the best person to judge the merits of the series thus far.

It is part and parcel of it, which is unfortunate if you dont like them as its a big part of their on-screen rivalry throughout. Its the last episode next weekend, I think any longer and it would definitely risk going stale. Im hoping it ends on a high note.
