Never thought I would but I do, definitelyt nicer to use than XP when you get the hang of where everything is. The only thing that bugs me is what theyve done to terminal services, but apart from that its sweet.

The only thing that annoys me about Vista is the pathetic color management that affects everything, they should have left it well alone from XP.

Other than that, I love it.

Im reintalling over the weekend in preperation for STALKER : Clear Sky, I want the DX10 effects.  However thats probably all itll be used for.

Ive just got my Vista box running in the last week, only thing thats upset me is:

Im listening to an MP3 and if i dare to start a filecopy across the LAN, the MP£ gets stuttery cos the Network Stack is sh*t.

theres a way to fix that.... but I cant remember how :(

(i did it when i was running vista!)


irc. local file copying is kinda crap too ?

I had issues with copying and transferring files, IE, even with SATAII HDDs I was only getting transfers of like 2mbps between disks. Ugrading to service pack 1 fixed all that?

I had quite a few problems after a few month with my 32bit version of vista, but i changed to 64bit and i am a massive fan again.

think sp1 helps with a lot of people who are having issues, it certainly seems to help with game play

I was having a few problems with my new laptop, e.g. the network issues and various other things.

Installed XP and never looked back... dont miss vista in the slightest! XP is ugly but it does work... Would still prefer OSX on here TBH, but would prob still use XP in OSX anyway.

I was on vista64... but came back to xp64 after i had problems.... but now im missing vista and thinking of changing back !

(think Ill dual boot actually!)
