Ive downloaded it from an invite, but couldnt be bothered installing it. It just seems to be about being better for social networks, like I need any more spam and bilge about what people are doing in my network

Can anyone actually say what cool new features it brings to the table? I cant see it being a FF/Chrome killer?

Tbh its essentially chrome + social network and RSS feed integration.

So its fast to load like chrome, but integrates nicely with facebook so I can freak people out by replying immediately after updates are posted, and if you have friends that use facebook chat it links into that so you dont need to be on facebook to chat to people.

If youre not a facebook fan (I wasnt really, but with rockmelt it makes it easier to actually be social) the rss feed stuff is pretty cool. I have a load of widgets/icons down the right side for all my regular sites like webcomics, escapist, flickr etc. Whenever I open the browser I can see the number of updates so I know when a new webcomic is up, or if some activity has happened on flickr. A lot of it works in a pop-out window so you dont lose the page youre working on either.

About the only niggle I have is that is seems to occasionally log me out of sites that I should have permanent sessions on, like tek.
