Which 775 mobo.. Whats good at the moment?
on: February 18, 2009, 20:50:03 PM
Pretty out of the loop in terms of hardware.. As you know, my motherboard is being crap so Im thinking I may as well just buy a new one.

Ive seen this one: http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=609787

which looks good, plus it has 8 USB ports which is very handy for me :)

Anyone got any other suggestions? Im looking at around the £75 mark, but if I can get one of the same quality for cheaper, thatd be good!

Running a quad core 6600, 4GB RAM, socket 775, 1x 750gb, 1x 500gb, 8600GT :)

Ive got that board in a pc, for the price you cant go wrong, latest chipset and pci-e 2.0 and good oc features, combine with an e5200 for a cheap great overclocking cpu which only costs a fraction of core 2 duo

Great, thanks Bacon :) Think Ill be ordering it tonight then.

Ive had enough of ASUS. Their RMA is disgraceful, you shouldnt have to pay £16 to for it when its not your fault the product hasnt lasted its intended life!

Better order some new thermal paste while Im on it.. :)

Did you order from an online store, you should get 12 months with any purchase.

Have built 2 systems recently with the Asrock 4core dual sata mobos &am extremely impressed on how easy they are to setup.
Didnt even need a re-install & both are extremely stable & robust.
Overclocking not a great strength but great value for the money.
