Want to buy cheapish printer, cheap compatible inks, cheap to run

Just printing a few letters a week mainly

Recommendations please

Also a cheap/best wireless printer, or printer and w/e is needed to connect to a wireless network if that works out cheaper.

Thanks

if its high quality black and white letters you want to print, the cheap desktop lasers are worth a look. My Samsung ML1510 is a few years old now and serves this purpose wonderfully.

Ive just swapped out my Sammy 1610 for a Brother 2035.  Toners are way cheaper for the brother.  £30 a pop at my local printer supplies place.  The Sammy was nearer £60.  The yield is about the same as well.

Yeah I got the sammy and its old and reliable - Id get the bruv if its cheaper to run though.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I had an Epson, and before that an Epson, cartridges cost me like £2.89, and about £6 when i needed colour to :P and the printer cost me like £35-40, so will be buying Epson again?

And i dont need high quality black prints, i dont even know how to tell high quality, its black and it gets printed on white paper? :P

but the quality is almost secondary, if youre only printing letters in black and white then a Laser is cheaper to run than an Ink-Jet. Even at ~£60 for a cart in my Sammy youre looking at 3000 pages per cart so thats 2p per sheet, and thats assuming you cant be bothered re-filling the carts yourself (~£10 for a bottle of toner, same 3000 print yield, ~3 refils per cart, therefore ~£80 for 9000 sheets = a shade under 1p per sheet).

of course if you need colour its a different story, but only because colour lasers are expensive to buy, they are still cheaper to run unless youre after true photo quality colour.
