Black Mesa - HL1 Remake

After 8 years in the making the 1st 8-10hours of the HL1 remake Black Mesa is being released in 8 days!!  :nana: :nana:

Can't wait to give it a play and see what they have done with it.

Best of all, sticking to the old school modding mentality... it's completely free, doesn't even require HL1 or HL2 to play.

I only saw about this yesterday and meant to make a post. I can't wait to try it, hopefully plenty of people will vote it through greenlight too :ptu:

It's been getting my hopes up for years. When it first appeared I was excited but then nothing happened and it was forgotten about and then at least once a year more screenshots/video would appear and get excited again but nothing... but at last looks like they have something to give us! yey!

I originally saw this years ago but thought it had died a death but was really glad when I heard it was back on, even better that its still free, I would pay money for it but well free is better.

Its going to be a good end to the year for games though, this Xcom and Borderlands 2 should keep me busy for a while.

Now one of the 1st 10 games to get greenlighted on steam so its now an official game with steam achievements, advertisement in store/library and it's own community... and it's still free! :D

Downloading from chip.de at 1~2MB a second, everywhere getting hammered but assumedly this isn't getting punished like the others as you have to do a bit of German :lol:

I set in on normal but haven't had time to actually get into it yet, I'm hoping I'll get a proper run through in the evening. Looks lovely at 1920x1200 full everything and runs smooth as silk 8)
