Pushing video/data to screens
on: March 07, 2008, 14:01:31 PM
After a solution for our director with which he can centrally manage and upload content to 4 screens (2 at 2 sites)  i.e. all screens are driven centrally and display the same information. He believes Cisco have quite a cheap Digital media solution for pushing out content to screens geographically spread as they do in high st stores for example. Any ideas?

Ive not thought this through properly as just on the way out of the office... so excuse anything glaringly obvious.

It should be possible to record whats going on on his main PC through a capture system and then run a frameserver of that capture.  Then the other screens just need to fetch screens from that frameserver.

I guess thats how the graphics are done on remote desktop systems anyway but you could do it manually and then its as extendable as you like...

I know youre looking for a VNC type solution but you could do it the long way round.
