Hey all

September time is my Birthday And I was thinking - 360 elite, hd drive and that will be nice thanks

Now, thing is At some point which looks more Next year then this becuase its slow and we still have a lot to sort out in terms of moving to New Zealand

Now question is about region etc as I been keeping semi up to speed with a 360 but I am unable to hold a controller so can not play it so not got one before now. May still not play one I get but will at least use it to watch movies and try and play Halo 3 maybe.

1. Region stuff - Will it work over there If I buy it here etc? Power is not a problem but what about the games.

2. What is the current take on hd movies and will the player play the movies there or will I have to get their version of the hd player and will that play with a uk 360 elite etc?

3. Any information about buying a console in one place and living in another etc would be great as I do not want to get something I have to sell almost straight the way etc.

tbh mate if you know youre going away and arent really gonna use the coinsole much for gaming before you go id wait and buy one out tere at least then youll be guaranteed compatability. also not sure about how warranty is affected if it goes tits up on the other side of the planet.

All HD-DVD players and movies are region free, so youll have no problem playing movies you buy there. I now have over 20 movies on the format and they all look and sound great, Ive even stopped buying standard DVDs now and only buy on HD-DVD.

The HD-DVD drive of the 360 gets its region from the console.  The drive itself is regionless.
