Driving Experience

Went on a driving experience today.  Started off in a nice Lamborghini Gallardo and then had a go in an ex-race(Stripped out and with role cage) Ferrari 355 Berlinetta.

What great fun....  It was raining most of the time, the Gallardo was easy to drive in that you could slam the breaks and throttle and it didnt complain, but was really crap to drive as the seating position was awful due to the length distance the clutch needed to go.  My legs are short.  So I had to pull the seat right forward and therefore the steering wheel was in my face. :(

The Ferrari on the other hand was far more suited to my size and it was hell of a lot more fun, no four wheel drive or traction control, just 400bhp through the rear wheels and no ABS :D  Absolutely insane it was in the wet, locked up a couple of times and it threw a wobbly dropping from 4th to 3rd once as I lifted off the clutch too quick and the wheels span a bit.  If I was to go again itd have to be the Ferrari for me, loved it!

Last two pics here are gliders as there was a gliders club meeting at the same time.  They kept going up and coming down all day :)

There were quite a few Evos and Imprezas on the track, they were so slow compared to the Lambo and Ferrari, I overtook 2 cars and would have overtaken a 3rd had it moved out of the way!!

Its worth noting that the Ferrari 355 broke down not long after me and one of my work colleagues had been it.  The other 2 work colleagues drove the Ferrari 360 instead, they said it was a great drive too.

Youd be surprised what some evos can do! because of their AYC and other gizmos the higher powered ones truly are super car beaters

altho imprezas cant hold a candle to either the lambo or the 355
