you should be able to get it out... but I doubt that puller will do it....

I normally find a big socket about the same size as the outside of the bush (metal bit) and then bray the crap out of it with a big hammer...

Ive tried the hammer method on the one on the other side and it has just split and bent but is still stuck in.

the problem is youll only be able to get the puller onto the bit thats sticking out... which is only joined to the rubber... you need something on the steel surround of the rubber (forgotten what this bit is called...)

Im guessing thats the back axle on the metro ?  how hard is it to drop the whole thing out ?

if its stuck that hard you really need the frame up against something hard (like a concrete floor) while you bray away at it from above.... so that the frame cant move at all... a tiny bit of movement at you lose nearly all the force youre hitting it with :(

if its still stuck you need to take it to a garage with a hydraulic press and see if they can get it out for you....  theyll probably only charge you a tenner for both sides... (did for me last time i had something like this done...) but I gave them 20 and told them to get a drink on me.... always handy if you need to go back some time and they remember you ;)

nah its off the audi and competly off the car

see here

i dont even need them out as i have new ones to go into a brand new axle, i just wanna see if they are damaged inside and that is what was causing the car to crab.

I think it is the stub axle that is bent tho.

Its how it was done on my Dads car when we knocked the rear axel off, torch the sh*t out of it clean it all up etc.

Its getting the new bearing in thats the pain in the arse at times, we couldnt get the axel up on the work bench to use the press so it was the old practiced metheod of using a rubber mallet and hammering them in carefully. (Yes mallet and careful in the same sentence) ;)

Big blowtorch does the trick and is rather fun!

A mixture of copperslip and fairy liquid does the trick with getting the bushes on.

Junior hacksaw? You could thread the blade through the middle and then clip it into the frame and make maybe 3 or 4 evenly spaced cuts and then as soon as you work the first piece out, the rest will be easy. Im not sure if you have enough space in the middle for this method to work, but it might be worth a go as its rather cheap and easy - and a tad less drastic than an oxy-acetylene torch!

I could be wrong, but I thought the round metal bit which the ruber is bonded too (the bit I[ve forgotern the name of) is part of it and should be comming out too ?
