Recent Track Day - Cadwell Park
on: March 31, 2012, 21:28:09 PM
I went to Cadwell Park on Wednesday for a track day. I've been to Teesside and Elvington before, but this track was amazing compared to them! I can't wait to go back.

I'm a rubbish driver, but could feel myself getting better throughout the day. As they say, practise makes perfect.

Will hopefully go to Croft in May as it's fairly close to me - can't wait.

I'm running 520bhp, and my friend in his Evo is running around 650bhp.

My friend filmed in his Evo:

What sort of cost was it? Do they send someone out with you for a lap to show you the ropes so to speak, or is it literally you turn up and you can plough on out onto the track and learn it as you go? I'd like to have a crack at it sometime, I'd be a lot slower than your 500+bhp beasties mind

No, you more or less just go out yourself. You can generally pay for 20 minutes of tuition though, but the guy was full booked at Cadwell.

It was £89 for the day which was really cheap. We are looking at going to Croft in the bank holiday in May and that is £225. Plus your fuel etc. Mine absolutely drinks it!

Here is a vid out the rear of his Evo, going over the 'Mountain'........said he absoloutly sh*t his load. It doesn't look as bad as it felt his said  At the point you do get a bit of air depending on your speed, especially the kit cars.

It didn't look that bad! If you're not used to the arse going out though I can see how that would put the willies up you I guess. Why the more than double price difference between Cadwell and Croft?

Do they have petrol stations on site for when you're getting low on fuel?

Just the date really, as it's a bank hol/weekend rate. Mid-Week is always cheaper.

Yeah, they sometimes have petrol on site, but it is a bit more expensive. But it is only 95Ron, but I can only use 99.
