How to ground a Car Stereo Cable?

Greetings all

I have recently purchased an Audi A3, and want to replace the borning stock in-car sound unit with a JVC KDAVX2 dvd player.

I read a review on the internet, where the unit was setup and tested, screenshots ect.. The part where the reviewer mentions the DVD playback, he/she states that in order to view DVD movies via the inbuilt TFT screen from the DIN headunit, your parking break must be engaged. But to avoid this, the cable that is required to connect from the JVC unit to the parking break, if grounded will allow playback at all times.

Now im not considering watching DVD movies while driving, but im more concerned about  the possible damage to the cars interior.

How can i ground a cable? Or this specific cable in my car??

connect it to a bit of bare metal - a screw, or bolt will usually do the trick.

ground is 0volts, which just happens to be what the entire shell is.

wellll thats not 100% accurate, some cars have the body live no ground.. bit rare tho

not rare, thats old school. most of the stuff with that was pre 1970 wasnt it? along with 6v batteries...
