Yeah, Im gonna wait and see if I can trash the existing rims on the fixie, and if I do, its gonna be Sapim Race butted spokes, red alloys, and brown deep Vs. Sapim spokes are a bitch to find in the states, FWIW.
Unfortunately the wheels are already built with 36 2.0 straight Sapims and triple box rims with no dish...so Ill have to do a hell of a job trashing them.
Im curious if SS spokes have the same problem chemically welding to alloy that plain zinc steel does, and if using spoke prep helps. Brass is so smooth, Ive never found a reason to use anything at all.
I do like the idea of a torx head on the back. Bout bloody time. Tho I made a bit with a philips head with two of the prongs almost ground off that works pretty good for building.
